Stimulsoft Server
Stimulsoft BI Server is a client-server system that allows you to efficiently and effectively implement a full cycle of working with reports and dashboards that starts from the designing and automation of execution information processing tasks and ends on preparing for convenient presentation of results to users. Functionality and power of the reporting module are implemented using a fast and modern technology of Stimulsoft, which flexibility and reliability are time-tested.
Scheduler
The scheduler is a description of the required actions and events, triggered without direct user action. The incredibly flexible scheduler allows you to program any event by time – from a simple single run to national holidays (and even Easter, each year falling on a different date) with a time shift. Activity ranges of the scheduler are available, as well as cyclic recurrences and exceptions. The object Calendar allows collecting a list of dates logically related to each other. In this case, the scheduler takes time zones into account and has a deadline for the execution of actions in which one can run reports, copy items, send email messages as information for users about the events and even run nested schedulers. Actions can be created within a single scheduler and consistently executed without any user intervention.
Chains of Issues
It is not a simple task to find a way to transform complex numbers from millions of cells in the database into a colorful chart embedded in an electronic document and stored on the cloud service. To do this, you should connect to the database, import the information from it into the required format, process the data, convert to the report using the template prepared before, export the report to the necessary format and upload it to the cloud storage. In order not to do these steps manually, Stimulsoft BI Server supports the data processing chain. Once such a chain is created and setting a schedule to it, you can save time and forget all about boring operations. Just use the finished result, and the system will take care of its creation.
Versatility
Using different data formats allows integrating Stimulsoft BI Server in the corporate environment without any changes from other services. Importing data goes through data sources. The current version supports such popular DBMS like MS SQL Server and MySQL Server, as well as ODBC and OLE DB interfaces. So it is easy to connect the input data stream to the server. Using schedulers, you can provide automatic synchronization between various components of the corporate system.
Output data looks like electronic documentation (reports) in different formats – from our own (for internal use) to the traditional corporate documents Adobe PDF, MS XPS, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Open Document Writer, Open Document Calc, and others. A significant advantage of our system is that exports to all formats are implemented using internal libraries without the need to install third-party products.

An essential advantage of Stimulsoft BI Server for users of Stimulsoft products is full compatibility with the already created and dashboards – on the server. You can use the reports created using Stimulsoft Reports, and vice versa – use the reports designed in Stimulsoft Server, in applications that use reporting tool Stimulsoft Reports.
